Vacay processes account details, group membership, availability, itinerary, tasks, notes, budgets and expense-ledger information to provide the trip-planning service. We do not sell personal data and Vacay does not move money.
Your username, email, preferences, sign-in sessions and the trip information you choose to add. Operational events record routes, status codes, timing and product milestones. They deliberately exclude passwords, note contents and expense descriptions.
Data is used to operate, secure and improve the private beta and to respond to support requests. Account data is retained while your account is active. Short-lived security and recovery tokens expire automatically. Operational data is reviewed and deleted on a rolling 90-day schedule during beta.
You can export your account data and request deletion from profile settings. Deletion anonymizes ledger participation where removing the record would corrupt other group members’ balances. You can ask for access, correction or support at support@vacay.pt.
The beta uses Vercel for the web interface, Render for the API, managed PostgreSQL, Resend for transactional email and Cloudflare Turnstile for bot protection. Service regions and subprocessors may change as the beta evolves.
Vacay uses a strictly necessary secure session cookie and privacy-conscious aggregate traffic measurements. It does not use advertising trackers.
Vacay may show limited first-party upgrade research prompts after you have used relevant planning features. Responses are used to assess product interest and do not create a purchase or subscription.
When a clearly labelled sponsored or affiliate link is enabled, opening it is always your choice. Vacay records the minimum event needed to measure eligibility, display, dismissal and an intentional outbound hand-off. The destination partner receives the usual information sent by your browser when you choose to leave Vacay. Vacay may receive a commission if you later make a qualifying purchase. Vacay does not load third-party advertising technology or send data to a partner before your click.
The Vacay private beta is operated through vacay.pt. Privacy, access, export, correction and deletion requests can be sent to support@vacay.pt.
